What the document is
Your contacts, to the second
First bite, totality begin and end, maximum and last contact (the five contacts, as astronomers call these instants), each in your local clock and UTC, with the Sun's altitude and compass direction at every one, plus which way the shadow arrives and how fast.
A minute-by-minute plan
From forty minutes out to the final second: when the light turns strange, where to look, when filters stay on and the one window they come off. Printed to be taken outside, away from screens and signal.
A calendar file that fires
The eclipse lands in your calendar app with alarms attached, from the day before down to the final minutes, timed for your coordinates rather than a city near them. Apple Calendar fires them as written; Google and Outlook apply their own reminder rules.
Margin matters as much as timing, so the document also computes how far you are from the edge of the path, what a short drive toward the center line buys, and the nearest towns with full free pages. The method is the one behind every tool on this site.

What exactly do I get for $9?
Three files, delivered the moment payment confirms, all computed for the coordinates you picked: a four-page printable plan (the verdict for your spot, every contact time to the second with the Sun's altitude at each, a minute-by-minute plan for the morning, the shadow's direction and speed, your margin to the edge of the path, the nearest computed towns and the eye-safety rules), a one-page field card in large type for a pocket or a clipboard, and a calendar file whose events carry alarms: the day before, an hour before and again ten minutes before first contact, and, where your spot has totality, fifteen and two minutes before it.
What if my plans move?
Regenerate, free, as often as you like: one purchase covers any coordinates until 1 October 2027, and the final choice of viewing spot is often made on eclipse morning. Your download page takes a new place and rebuilds all three files in seconds.
What if my spot turns out to have no totality?
The document says so, honestly, before you travel: it states the partial percentage, that filters never come off there, how far the edge of the path is, and how much totality a drive past that edge buys, computed at three real distances along your meridian. The free preview above gives the same verdict before you pay.
How accurate are the times?
Contact times are computed for your exact coordinates at sea level by the same open-source engine behind every page on this site, using the IAU nominal solar and lunar radii with a mean lunar limb (the Moon's average edge, ignoring its mountains and valleys). Both conventions run the same way, so treat a printed totality duration as an upper bound: the NASA eclipse canon adopts a smaller lunar radius for totality and its durations come out about three seconds shorter than ours, and the Moon's real limb valleys take off a further second or two. Moving a few kilometres matters more than either, which is why the document also computes your margin. The accuracy page benchmarks the engine's positions rather than eclipse contact geometry. The method is public at methodology and accuracy.
Do I need an account?
No, and there isn't one to create. After paying you land on a page holding all three files, and that page's address is your private link back: bookmark it and you can download again or regenerate for different coordinates any time until 1 October 2027. A copy of the same link is emailed to the address you paid with, so a lost bookmark is not a lost purchase. What about clouds?
No document can move them, and this one does not pretend to: it contains no weather data, only geometry and time. What it gives you is the ability to recompute: regeneration is free for any coordinates until 1 October 2027, so if the forecast turns in the final days you can rebuild the plan, the field card and the alarms for wherever you can actually reach. How much that is worth depends on how free you are to move, and in August it may be very little: accommodation is booked months ahead, and on eclipse morning every road toward the center line carries everyone else's identical plan.
