Saturn sits a comfortable 33° above the horizon in the west-southwest. Saturn takes nearly thirty years to circle the zodiac, so it lingers in the same neighborhood of sky from one parade to the next.
Uranus rides high, about 70° up in the south-southwest, well clear of any horizon haze. Uranus was the first planet ever found with a telescope, spotted by William Herschel in 1781, and it rewards the same modest optics today.
Neptune hangs low, only about 14° up in the west, so it needs a flat, open horizon in that direction. At around magnitude 7.8 it is strictly an optics target; a telescope shows a minute blue-gray disk.
